Mohammed Ali

For those who were fortunate enough to see him boxing, he was an undisputed champion, who moved on the quadrilateral with such a grace, agility and power that was beautiful to watch.

Mohammed Ali passed away on June 3rd, 2016 at the age of 74. He was known not only for his multiple boxing championships, but also for his strong stance on social issues that included racism, religion, and equality. He will be sadly missed.

I thought of sharing some of his quotes that embraces who he was as an individual:

  1. “He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.”
  2. “The man who views the world at 50 the same as he did at 20 has wasted 30 years of his life.”
  3. “It isn’t the mountains ahead to climb that wear you out; it’s the pebble in your shoe.”
  4. “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room on earth.”
  5. “Don’t count the days; make the days count.”
  6. “Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is potential, impossible is temporary, impossible is nothing.”
  7. “He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.”
  8. “I hated every minute of training, but I said, “don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.”
  9. “Hating people because of their color is wrong. And it doesn’t matter which color does the hating. It’s just plain wrong.”
  10. “Live everyday as if it were your last because someday you’re going to be right.”
